Policies

Alcohol

Guests are allowed to bring their own adult beverages. The Black Diamond Inn & Social House cannot however provide alcohol for guests.

​Check In/Check Out

Unless other arrangements are made in advance, check in time is at 4:00 PM and check out time is by 11:00 AM.

IMPORTANT: The Inn uses a self check-in process. Please note there is no manager on site. Please check your Airbnb confirmation for more information about checking it.

Credit Cards Accepted

MasterCard, American Express, Visa and Discover are accepted. We also accept Paypal.

Security Deposits

We are very proud of our facility and appreciate our guests. In order to maintain The Black Diamond Inn & Social House, we do request and require a 20% down security deposit for all events, including weddings and rentals. 

Cancellation Policies

Cancellations for individual rooms can be made with at least 48 hours notice through the Airbnb platform.

Cancellations for events and/or wedding rentals will be accepted if canceled 30 or more days prior to reserved date. Otherwise, the security deposit will not be refunded.

We are a small inn and our reservations are very important to us. We appreciate your understanding.

WE RETAIN THE RIGHT TO BE ON PREMISES OF THE BLACK DIAMOND INN & SOCIAL HOUSE AT ANY TIME EVEN DURING WHOLE HOUSE RENTAL.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do I park?

You may park in the back parking lot. Additional street parking is available on Robinson Street (behind the Carriage House Loft).

How do I access the building?

The entry is the BACK door of the building, up the ramp. All entry and exit is through the back door of the conservatory. Please DO NOT unlock or use the front door, unless you have express written permission for a special event, whole-house rental only. Please be sure every time you leave the property to close the exterior door securely and press the BRINKS button at the top of the keypad to ensure the door is locked. There is no elevator as this is a historical 1920s mansion.

Likewise, the Carriage House Loft entrance is in the BACK of the building, on Robinson Street.

How do I access my room?

Each room has a key lockbox. The code to open your lockbox is sent through Airbnb once your reservation is confirmed.

Do you provide meals, coffee, et cetera?

Please note that we do not provide breakfast or meals. Coffee and tea are provided as well as coffee makers and a kettle, in the kitchen ONLY. There are no coffee makers or kettles in any of the bedrooms

All guests have full use of the kitchen (including refrigerator, freezer, toaster, cooktop, etc.), dining room, conservatory, parlor library, and reception, all of which are located on the main living level.

Can I rent the whole house for a night, week, or weekend?

The Social House may be rented on a per-night basis for $1,800 per night which includes all bedrooms, baths, kitchens, banquet areas, porch and lawn. This DOES NOT include the Carriage House. A security deposit is required 30 or more days prior to arrival. We retain the right to be on the premises at all times. The house and grounds also must be left in the condition received. If not, a cleaning fee of $50 – $200 will be assessed.

Do you allow smoking?

No smoking is allowed inside The Black Diamond Inn & Social House or in the courtyard. Smoking is allowed outside in the yard in designated areas only. 

​Can I bring my children?

Well-behaved children are always welcome. Please notify us if children will be staying over.

Do you allow pets?

Service animals such as guide dogs are allowed, but pets are not allowed in the Inn. We understand your pets are part of your family, so we’re pleased to allow pets in the Carriage House Loft. We do require a $25.00 non-refundable deposit per pet stay and have a maximum limit of two pets under 40 lbs.

Do you have Quiet Hours?

The Social House does keep Quiet Hours from 11:00pm – 7:00am daily. Please, in respect of your fellow guests, turn TV’s, music, etc. down after 11:00 pm and keep your doors to your room shut at all times.

What amenities are provided?

All rooms have WI-FI so you may use your own streaming devices, but we do not provide cable TV or streaming devices. On the lower level, we also are proud to offer a Media Room with a DVD player and a wonderful selection of movies. In addition, we keep a variety of books available for our guests. Bath amenities including soaps, shampoo and conditioner available upon request. We also have irons, ironing boards, and hair dryers available as well. 

What is your housekeeping policy?

We respect the privacy of our guests. Daily housekeeping is available upon request. Let us know upon arrival your preference.
